ABOUT S.V.S SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL
Strict discipline, complete dedication to duty, ideal & reasonable thinking are the foundations of a child which makes him/her a better citizen of the Nation. With a view to give priority to the due development of the child´s physical, mental & moral aspects that are so very important in rebuilding our national character. To fulfill the above purpose it was decided to run an institution in the name & ideology of the great sage of India "SWAMI VIVEKANANDA".
This institution named as SWAMI VIVEKANANDA SHIKSHASHRAM and this baby institution came in to being in April 2002 in its own site measuring A12.18 Dcml. of land about 4 km. away from BARIPADA, the district head quarter of Mayurbhanj in the state of Odisha. In 2005 the Govt. of Odisha had pleased to grant N.O.C. in favour of S.V.S. In April 2006 the Central Board of Secondary Education Delhi, has pleased to grant affiliation to S.V.S. up to secondary level and it has been up-graded up to +2 level in 2016. S.V.S. having facility of Co-education system, for its Day Boarders & Boarders. S.V.S. surrounds by green environment near the foot hill of Simlipal
S.V.S. has already constructed at around 150000 sq ft. (approx) of R.C.C. building for its school & hostel accommodation till Dec 2012. Now along with academic curriculum of CBSE, S.V.S. provides other teaching facilities i.e. Yoga, Pranayam, Meditation, Dance & Music, Swimming & Boating, Spiritual classes with hawan & various types of games & sports etc. to its students.
S.V.S. follows the foot step of Swami Vivekananda the great sage of India. Our main motto is to educate the academically backward student of different areas & communities. That´s why unlike other reputed schools our entrance test for admission as well as the fee structure both are affordable & within reach respectively. S.V.S. adopted the instructions of Govt. of India by providing from education to SC/ST/BPL child under RTE.
S.V.S. stands on the foot hill of ancient "GURKUL" tradition with ultra-modern equipment's thoughts which makes our future citizen best in modern education (under CBSE guidelines), strong & stout in physic (through various games and sports, swimming & boating, yoga & pranayam), ideal in thoughts & judgment (through regular meditation & prayer, worship & Hawan with spiritual seminar of different religions).
S.V.S. starts with morning yoga class (4.45 AM.) goes with different activities of the day till 10.00 PM. i.e. academic-fine arts-Dance & Music-Games & Sports, Gardening & Boating, Swimming training other entertainment programme covered by balanced diet & regular medical vigilance. S.V.S. develops organic culture through its vast green patch of its own land with A2 milk and milk products to its students. S.V.S. has a beautiful A2 Goshala having 50 nos. of Gir Cows of Gujrat.
